One incredibly beautiful print from an original painting of former Boston Red Sox Left Fielder Ted Williams painted by the world famous artist Armand LaMontagne c. 1994. The painting depicts Ted fishing, after he just caught a beautiful large fish. This print is an extremely limited edition signed artist proof. It has the artist’s, Armand LaMontagne, signature in the lower left corner. Not only is it signed by the artist in the lower left, it is also signed by Ted Williams. Ted Williams signed the piece with a beautiful blue sharpie pen.
Theodore “Ted” Williams was an American professional baseball player. Williams played his entire 19-year major league baseball career for the Boston Red Sox. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest hitters of all time.
This print was obtained from a close friend of LaMontagne, who was gifted the print by the artist. This is likely one of a rare few artist proof editions of this print that were made, making this quite likely one of the very first, if not the second or third artist proof prints to be produced of this painting. This print was given to this close friend of his, so we can assume that it was likely one of the first artist proofs of just a few extra that were made. This is a truly rare and beautiful piece! Signed by both the artist and subject of the painting, who got it done in person, it is clearly an original and possibly one-of-a-kind piece.
