This image is very special, featuring our lead appraiser Lee and Sylvester Stallone in our original gallery circa 1987. In the background, Stallone’s brother, Frankie, is clearly shown mid-conversation with Jennifer Flavin, whom he had just met. He ended up falling in love with her, and they married and settled down, eventually having three daughters.
Stallone has been a longtime customer of ours, purchasing numerous watches over the years. Whenever he appeared on the popular David Letterman show, he would visit our gallery before the show and buy a unique watch, such as a rare Patek, Vacheron, or Rolex, to wear on the show. He has not only bought watches for himself but also for his loved ones, including his mother. Additionally, Stallone played a significant role in starting the Panerai craze around 25 years ago.
This picture features the esteemed Martin Sheen, a renowned actor best known for his recent role in the television show Grace and Frankie and his acclaimed performance in The Execution of Private Slovik. He is also a valued friend and client of Lee.
This is the legendary Paul Shaffer, who served as David Letterman’s musical director, band leader, and sidekick throughout the entire run of both Late Night with David Letterman and Late Show with David Letterman. An avid watch collector, he has purchased numerous watches from us over the years. He is not only a talented musician but also a genuinely great guy.
This is one of the first celebrities we ever sold to in 1986: Robert "Peabo" Bryson and his wife. A talented singer known for his popular Disney song at the time, he has been a fantastic client who has purchased numerous items from us over the years. Not only is he a remarkable artist with a beautiful voice, but he is also a genuinely great person.
This is the legendary Earl "The Pearl" Monroe, one of the greatest shooting guards in NBA history. Known for his unstoppable shake-and-bake move, he remains an iconic figure in basketball. This photo was taken at the Mickey Mantle Charity Auction, where we purchased and authenticated some New York Knicks items for charity. Earl has become a great friend and valued client over the years. He is not only an exceptional player but also a wonderful person.
Here we have the great Bill Cartwright, standing at 7 feet 2 inches, towering over Lee, who is 6 feet 2 inches. In fact, he was so tall that he couldn’t even fit inside our store, which had a ceiling height of only 6.5 feet. This photo was taken right outside the door. Bill is a fantastic person who won several championships with the Chicago Bulls and is also an avid watch buyer and collector.
