This one of a kind locker nameplate belonged to the greatest pitcher in the history of baseball - Mariano Rivera, number 42! It is in perfect condition and doesn't have official duplicates anywhere in the world. The white nameplate has the player's last name and number etched in a large red letters "RIVERA 42" and an Indian All Star Game 1997 baseball symbol on the left. It was only used once during 1997 Major League Baseball All-star, the 68th playing of the midsummer classic between the all-stars of the American League (AL) and National League (NL), the two leagues comprising Major League Baseball. The game was held on July 8, 1997 at Jacobs Field in Cleveland, Ohio, the home of the Cleveland Indians of the American League.
Mariano Rivera (born November 29, 1969) is a Panamanian former professional baseball pitcher who played 19 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Yankees, from 1995 to 2013. Nicknamed "Mo" and "Sandman" Rivera spent most of his career as a relief pitcher and served as the Yankees' closer for 17 seasons. A thirteen-time All-Star and five-time World Series champion, he is MLB's career leader in saves (652) and games finished (952). Rivera won five American League (AL) Rolaids Relief Man Awards and three Delivery Man of the Year Awards, and he finished in the top three in voting for the AL Cy Young Award four times.
