This 20^th century print of a 1906 oil painting by portraitist Oswald Birley depicts Sir Winston Churchill sitting and posed. He looks pensively into the distance as Birley captures his austere character. Surrounded by a black wooden frame, this print has been protected and kept in excellent condition. The artist, Sir Oswald Birley, was an English portrait painter and royal portraitist in the early 20^th century. His works include paintings of King George V, Queen Mary, and the current monarch Queen Elizabeth II. He was knighted in 1949 and became one of England’s most well known portrait painters.
