Item Description:
When I was 17, my mother dragged me with her on a shopping trip. After being bored for hours, when I got home I looped up an old Christmas present, a painting set, and began playing with it. I never stopped. Years later, after graduating from college (BA in history), I moved to San Francisco to pursue a career in the arts. Again, I never stopped. San Francisco in the 70’s was a magical place and was the perfect canvas for me. I began drawing, all of the time, everywhere. By 1980 I had begun translating my drawings into paintings. By the time I moved to New York in 2007, my art had matured and my purpose was clear: I mean for my paintings to give the viewer a sense of calm, and wonder at the beautify of the world around us, and to serve as an antidote to the pain and suffering we all experience in life.
