Item Description:
This is a playful street-art style painting that was made with mixed media. It depicts a young girl who is writing the phrase ‘Dream Big’ on top of a framed painting. With iconography that is tied to childhood innocence, such as ice-cream cone and a heart, the artists have managed to create a playful artwork that is self-referential in terms of graffiti art. The painting looks like a resin coat was placed both before and after the words and girl were painted.
This painting is part of a collaborative set of 8 pieces between R.J. One and AJ LaVilla. The artists’ signatures are painted as green, orange, and black monograms. R.J.ONE is signed twice, bottom left of painting and in the little drawn painting, on the front. LaVilla's signature is handwritten in black marker on the front, bottom left corner, and on the back. RJ's signature on the back reads "RJanello 17" in black marker, surrounded by a cloud. A blue "7/8" is on the back on the bottom right corner.
The painting measures approximately 9" inches wide and 12" inches high.
