Rare 1947 Charcoal Print
"The Blinding of the Brigand"
by Albert K. Pounian
This is a very rare copy of the charcoal print "The Blinding of the Brigand," made in 1947. Only eight of these copies were ever made by the artist. The artist, Albert K. Pounian, was an accredited artist and teacher, who gained inspiration for his pieces by traveling with the U.S. Army during World War II. "The Blinding of the Brigand" depicts the European folklore of a rouge hunter riding his horse throughout the forest and ridding it of its beggars. The Hunter also appears to be blinding a woman, seen displayed before him.
The print comes with a free Certificate of Authentication and a clear sheath to protect the piece.
