LINDA LE KINFF“QUINTET BLEU”1996 LTD ED SERIGRAPH,SIGNED&NUMBERED -$4K APPRAISAL VALUE!
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
A beautiful, original serigraph on paper by French-Brazilian painter and printmaker, Linda Le Kinff. Beautifully printed, this piece portrays a group of four musicians, among which we find two violins, one cello, and the director of the orchestra. Kinff skillfully blends in dreamlike, colorful figures throughout the piece with physical objects such as chairs and instrument bows, creating stunning contrasts along with the blue background. This piece is in excellent condition, signed ‘Linda Le Kinff’ and numbered 63/350 in pencil on the outer bottom margin of the print. This piece is professionally framed with double-layered white mats, and a gold-painted wooden frame.
Linda Le Kinff (b.1949) is a French- Brazilian artist best known for her paintings and colorful prints. She started her career as a painter at the age of 20. Le Kinff lived and worked in Italy for twelve years, learning the ancient techniques taught by masters in Florence and Livorno. She began creating serigraphs in the mid-1980s and uses this technique exclusively in the creation of her original graphic works. Le Kinff also expresses herself through watercolors, and recently through collage. Her subjects are incredibly diversified, and include musical scenes, poetic interpretations of people caught in an intimate moment of their lives, and couples elegantly dressed, out for a night on the town.
