DOSNAZOL, LANDSCAPE NAIVE STYLE, BEAUTIFUL OIL PAINTING C.1930S - $20K APPRAISAL VALUE!  


ITEM DESCRIPTION:

This oil painting, signed by DosNazol, is a romantic depiction of a cottage, located right next to a pond. It is painted in a naive style, suggesting that it is, essentially American Folk Art. The artist with the pseudonym ‘Dosnazol’, about whom little is generally known, painted in New York City, during the 1930s and 1940s. Apart from copying original paintings, such as sir Lawrence’s ‘Red Boy’, the artist has painted landscapes such as this one, always in a style that suggests a lack of academic training. It is surrounded by a beautiful gold gesso frame and is in great condition.


The artwork, when framed measures 29.5” inches in height by 41.5" inches in width.

Unframed, it measures 35.5” inches in height by 23.5” inches in width.


The condition of the artwork is great, but the frame has few nicks here and there. Regardless this tranquil painting would make the perfect addition to any home.
