This set is made of sterling silver as they are both marked "sterling" on the bottom. There are no other markings so the maker is unknown. The pieces are designed to look like a couple and are most likely Oriental. The silver is painted black and gold to create the design and there are few etchings. The tops twist off to fill the shakers. Only the head holds salt/pepper. The pieces are modern and quirky and unique. They date circa late 1900s, early 2000s and are in very fine condition.
